The Cameroon American Council held a major press conference at the prestigious National Press Club.
We unveiled five (5) recommendations as a follow-up to the US Africa Summit.
Top on the list is the creation of a Congressional African Immigrant Caucus at the US Congress! Our speakers list, included distinguished African Immigrant leaders and African immigrant allies, who elaborated on fierce urgency of the recommendations.
Our event sponsor Dominic Tamin of Empak Corp, gave remarks on the dire need of a Congressional African Immigrant Caucus. Such a caucus will prioritize African immigrant needs such as protecting the DV lottery, having President Obama include immigration reform in discussions about Africa, as well as, immigration provision in the 2015 AGOA re-authorization.
This Congressional African Immigrant Caucus, needs congressional support for its creation and adoption. So we are grateful to the office of Congressman Jose Serrano for coming.
